From Skyworld to Turtle Island

This book accompanied an exhibition, “Iroquois Artistic Visions:  From Skyworld to Turtle Island”, held at the Indian Museum in 2011.  Iroquois visual artists were invited to submit pieces which they felt best illustrated their vision of Creation.  Mohawk storyteller Kay Olan was asked to write her version of the Creation Story.  We have joined together Kay’s words with the art displayed in the exhibit to honor this important cultural foundation.
